Yes, this tumbler really lights up! There is a battery pack on the bottom that allows you to turn the lights on and off. You may also change the batteries. Batter size is CR2032. DO NOT get this battery pack wet. 24oz in size. 

This tumbler has a glitter base, and it is normal to feel/see uneven areas where the lights are wrapped around the cup. It will not be completely smooth like a typical glitter tumbler. You will still find all areas completely sealed. Enjoy!
